Our Promise To The Environment

At Fittingly, we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously – all our wood is sustainably sourced. We are working hard towards becoming a totally carbon neutral business.

In addition, for every order placed with Fittingly we will plant a tree with The National Forest.

So when you buy a new wardrobe from Fittingly, you can admire the beautiful new addition to your home knowing what’s good for you is good for the planet.

Minimal Packaging

We truly believe in reducing waste. As such, most of our furniture is delivered without packaging. We use a specially designed capsule system to safely transport your furniture in our own fleet of vans.

We only use packaging on the most important or most delicate items, and even then keep it to a minimum. We always reuse what we can and we are always working to do better.

Less Wasteage

Thanks to the unique way we manufacture, we can achieve unrivalled levels of material efficiency. Our cutting edge software predicts material requirements and batches multiple orders to minimise the volume of waste material that we produce.

Additionally, because everything is machined bespoke for your design, there is little if any on site modification needed. Which makes the whole install less wasteful, not to mention quicker and cleaner for you!

International Tree Foundation

International Tree Foundation (ITF) promotes community-led forestry projects in the UK and Africa. Founded in Kenya in 1922 by Richard St. Barbe Baker and Chief Josiah Njonjo, they currently support reforestation initiatives in seven African countries and in the UK. By 2024, their goal is to plant 20 million trees in Kenya.

Some 70 million people around the globe rely on trees for their income. They provide resources that are nutritious, crucial to infrastructure and are the source of much of our medication. Trees play a vital role in communities, providing fuel, food and a source of income to these growing communities in Kenya. This is why we only use sustainably sourced wood for our wardrobes, to ensure that these communities are not affected.

To put it simply, nothing more than you already are. Whenever a purchase is made with us at Fittingly, we plant a tree with our friends at the ITF. We are always working to make our business more environmentally friendly, from carefully selected, responsibly sourced materials through to our packaging-free deliveries.
